Of
the various works that are attributed to Benedetto Brunetti special
mention must be made of the painting in the church annexed to the Convent
of the Virgin Mary Immaculate at Riccia, portraying
the Virgin with Saint Joseph, Mary Magdalene, Saint John the Baptist,
Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Anthony of Padua and San Filippo Neri.
The canvas was painted in 1690.

Ciriaco
Brunetti gave ample proof of his skill in his fresco of the Assumption
of Our Lady, in the vault of the central nave of the Church of
Santa Maria Assunta at Oratino, in 1791. He worked several
times in the town of his birth, in particular in the Church of Santa
Maria di Loreto, working alongside Stanislao. At Vinchiaturo,
on the other hand, he left, in the Church of Santa Maria della Croce,
the twelve wooden tablets depicting Christ and the Apostles. 1764 was
instead the date when he painted high up the Madonna interceding with
Christ and low down Saint John the Baptist and Saint Lucy, in the church
of the Convent of Santa Maria di Loreto, at Toro.
Paolo
Brunetti worked on frescoing the refectory of the Convent of
Sant’Alfonso dei Liguori at Colletorto. The
paintings depict, at top part of every wall covered: The Last Supper,
The Banquet of Simon the Pharisee, Belshazzer's feast, The wedding of
Cain, The rich Epulone and the allegories of the Virtues. The
success of the painting lies in the matching of colours, in the attempt
to portray the scene as something that is taking place, rather than
something that has already happened.
