This
is one of the churches that belongs to the Legend of the Re Bove.
It was built in the first half of the 7th century by the
Benedictine monks, along the course of the narrow Cortile-Centocelle
sheep-track, alongside the remains of a Roman villa.

Outside it
is adorned with sculptures depicting legends recounted by the medieval Chansons
and the classical patrimony and Christian iconography; inside we find a
notable funereal monument of the 14th century.
