The
style is the same as that of the nearby Apulian cathedrals: a
capanna-type layout with a facade divided at the bottom by a double row
of small arches and pilaster strips, and at the top by the rose window.

The architecture is
Romanesque, the sculpture-work (Annunciation,
presentation at the temple, pictures of plants) markedly Gothic. The Cathedral
of San Basso, divided inside into three naves, is a one-off in
the Molise region.
