The
Crypt in the Church of San Pietro in Vincoli at Sant’Angelo in Grotte
(IS), rediscovered in the second half of the 20th century, is
a small museum of paintings.
Inside
the small room we find paintings (Sienese school) of the Seven works
of charity. Starting from the back wall they are arranged thus: Feeding
the hungry, Giving drink to the thirsty, Dressing the naked, Taking in
pilgrims, Visiting the sick, Visiting prisoners, Burying the dead.
