Various
monuments adorn Agnone (IS). The Church of Sant'Emidio (14th
C.) is a splendid example of Gothic art. In the same the building took
place of the Church of San Francesco (1343), altered
inside in the Baroque period.
The
Church of Sant'Antonio was built in 1118, afterwards
altered in the succeeding ages. Dating back to the year thousand on the
other hand we have the Church of San Marco, which alternates
Romanesque and Gothic features. The Churches of Sant'Amico (13th
C.) and of San Pietro Celestino are also worthy of note.
